Explore Kauai’s underwater world and discover a kaleidoscope of marine life and amazing volcanic rock and coral formations. Hundreds of tropical fish and larger marine life will keep you entertained. Don’t miss out on Kauai dive sites containing spectacular mazes of lava tubes, archways, fan coral, spiny lobsters, eels and schools of colorful tropical reef fish. Keep an eye out for Hawaii’s State fish the Humu-humu-nuku-nuku-apu-aa.  If you don’t see one at least you’ll have fun trying to say it.

 

Many dives can be done from shore, but for a more dramatic experience, a two tank dive off a boat is a great way to explore the less visited spots. You might even be lucky enough to see a Honu, the Hawaiian Sea Turtle swim by to check you out.

On Kauai’s North Shore, fun dives can be made from the shoreline. Snorkeling beaches include the protected lagoon and reef off Kee Beach and Haena Beach Park. Makua Beach known as Tunnels, this is one of the most popular beaches for snorkeling and scuba diving.

On the East Side you will find Lydgate Beach Park, a great spot for beginners and families with small children.

Poipu on Kauai’s South Shore is fantastic for spotting turtles and other wildlife. Boat dives, beginner shore dives, night dives and other dive companies offer plenty a wonderful variety of tours to explore Kauai’s underwater world.
