All companies that offer snorkeling around Kauai will give you a personal demonstration on the use of their snorkel equipment. If you are on a snorkel tour they will provide you with all of your snorkel gear all the snorkel lessons that you wish and many different types of flotation devices to make you feel comfortable in the water. Usually the snorkel companies will put a lifeguard in the water with you.

Many activities are suitable for the keiki (children). Please call Kauai Activities for advice and recommendations based on your children’s ages and weights.

Whale watching season is our favorite time of year! The majestic humpback whales can show up as early as October, but official whale season begins in December and the whales are usually on their way back to Alaska by the end of April. If you want to see the newborn calves and catch the best breaching aerial show, then February-March is prime! It is not a time to miss! Note- Dolphin watching season is year-round!

Each year, humpback whales migrate from the cool waters in Alaska to the warm-water breeding grounds in Hawaii. The whales don’t arrive all at once. Their numbers gradually increase as winter approaches.

Sometimes. Certain activities have an age, height or weight limit. For detailed information please read ‘Details’ tab for each activity you choose.

Transportation is not included unless stated on your ticket. You are responsible to arrive at your activity at the scheduled check in time, regardless of how you choose to get there. Kauai Activities recommends renting a car to get around. Taxi fares are expensive; a 20 minute taxi fare (round trip) will probably cost you as much as a 2-day car rental. Kauai bus service is available but limited.

Kauai Activities will make sure you have all the information you need to get to your activity. Come by Kauai Activities and get your free detailed Kauai Map to keep with you as you hop around the island. Kauai Activities will email you your confirmation itinerary and the time and date of your booked activity will be on the tickets. When you come in Kauai Activities will show you on the map how to get there.

Kauai is blessed with great weather year round! A perfect destination anytime you find a chance to hop on a plane and leave Kansas behind! The cooler months are November – May (70 – 85 degrees) July through October are our warmer months (78 – 90 degrees)
The balmy trade winds often deliver with some early morning and evening rain showers to the windward and mauka (mountains) areas. Remember “no rain , no rainbows!”

Our peak visitor season from the U.S. and Canada is between Thanksgiving and Easter, with the busiest time during the Christmas and New Year holidays as well as the summer months (July and August).
If you want to avoid the buisier time of year, a good option might be May-June or September-October.
