Your adventure aboard The Kauai Plantation Railway begins when you enter our Train Depot Shop where you can purchase your tickets, and find unique “Kaua’i Made” products. Before boarding the Kauai Train spend some time strolling in the beautiful tropical gardens that surround the depot, and savor the tropical scents and warm Kauai sun.
When you here the sound of the train’s whistle, head on over to the platform and get ready for the conductors call of ” All Aboard.” Adventure and fun await you as you board Kauai’s Plantation Railway’s vintage custom built mahogany passenger cars pulled by a vintage 1948 General Electric electric-diesel locomotive. The sound of the train whistle and the wheels clanking on steel rails add to the nostalgic setting of the tour of beautiful & historic Kilohana Plantation.
Description: All Aboard! Our 40 minute conductor-narrated authentic train tour of 105 acre Kilohana Plantation takes you back to Hawaii’s Golden Sugar Era when sugar was King, as well as today’s setting for a real working farm.Â You will see rows of fruit tree orchards & fields, animal pastures, and the train will stop for you to disembark and feed a herd of wild pigs, goats & sheep.Â All of the produce that you’ll see is either used at Kilohana’s renowned courtyard restaurant Gaylord’s, or sold at the “Farmers’ Market” Kilohana Plantation is the only remaining plantation on the island where you can see, taste, and experience Kauai’s beauty, bounty, and history.

Description:This is our 4 hr. guided adventure where you explore the beauty & bounty of Kilohana, enjoy a picnic deli lunch, and pick & taste the fresh fruit right off the trees. Take your time, this is not a race… enjoy your nature walk, stopping frequently, and leaning abut all the beautiful flowers & plants, then savor a delicious deli lunch where we cut a fresh picked pineapple at your picnic table, and then top it all off with fresh fruit that you picked right off the trees.

Description: Come and join us on our ultimate Luau Express Train Tour & Luau Kalamaku, where the entire 105 acre Kilohana Plantation is your play ground. Gates open at 5 pm with a flower lei greeting and photo taking, open bar,arts, crafts, demonstrations & games, and explore the Manor House and Shops.
At 5:30 climb aboard our 40 minute train tour, and return to the depot as the Torch Lighting Imu ceremony where we unearth an all day roasted pig, then all the feasting begins with an all you can eat roasted pork, fish, chicken, vegetarian, and a lot, lot more of some things for everyone.
Live Hawaiian music and Hula performances, and then after dinner all the lights go off and you will witness & experience Kalamaku, a theatrical presentation of our Hawaiian ancestors voyaging from Tahiti to Kauai.
