Kauai is a natural garden, yet the importance of keeping a balance of the delicate indigenous and endemic plant life thriving is the work and passion of those involved with the Kauai National Botanical Gardens and other private botanical gardens. With private and scientific grants, scientist and volunteers are helping give back through plant exploration, propagation, habitat restoration, scientific research and education.

By visiting one of the gardens and participating in a tour you will be helping preserve plant life and keeping at-risk species, that otherwise might disappear a chance to be around forever. Enjoying a guided Kauai garden tour at one of the botanical gardens is a way to spend a relaxing afternoon while educating and enjoy yourself You will be experiencing a variety of indigenous as well as endemic plant life. Countless post card images will greet your eyes as you experience Kauai’s landscape. Nowhere is the awe of nature more evident than Kauai’s lush gardens, hence the name, The Garden Island.
