The Waimea Canyon Trail starts at the bottom of the Kukui Trail. This hike is best done by finding someone to drop you off and meet you back at the bottom in Waimea town. You will not want to backtrack this hike. The Waimea Canyon Trail hike follows the bends of the Waimea River as you stroll through the Puu ka Pele Forest to the Historic town of Waimea.
