Kauai Mini Golf YouTube Video Contest at Kauai Miniature Golf & Botanical Gardens

We are looking for creative, funny, and exciting videos from Kauai community students 12 – 18 years of age, to help educate people about the golf & gardens and inspire them to play a round with us. Three winners will be chosen and they will receive a cash prize ($300 – 1st, $150 – 2nd, $75 – 3rd) plus a "One-Year-Unlimited-Free Mini Golf Pass". Contest rules, the entry form, and contact information for any questions are below. If you plan on participating and need to record footage for your video, feel free to come out to the course to do so!

Guidelines & Details

1. Video topic :"What do you like best about Kaua'i Miniature Golf & Botanical Gardens?"
2. Videos should be 1:00 min – 3:00 minutes in length.
3. All contest entries must be received by 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 30th 2012.
4. Voting structure begins July 15th, 2012 on Kauai Mini Golf's Facebook Fanpage.
5. Winners will be announced and at the "Kauai Mini Golf Video Contest Awards Ceremony" on Sunday, August 5th 2012 at 3:00 PM at Kauai Mini Golf.
6. Contest Entry Form & Media Release must be submitted by a Kauai community resident, 12 – 18 years of age (birthday on or  as of August 5th 2012.)
7. Parent/Guardian must sign Contest Entry & Media Release Form for all contest entrants under the age of 18.

Evaluation Criteria

Videos will be judged by a panel of professional guest judges based on the following criteria:

1. Overall Impact (educational, inspiring, persuasive)
2. Creativity and/or humor
3. Memorable Content and Delivery
4. Clear Message (Your favorite things about Kauai Mini Golf & Botanical Gardens)
5. Public rating during the voting period
   

Prizes

1. First place: $300, Second place: $150, Third place: $75
2. All winners will receive one (1) "Unlimited Free Mini Golf Pass".
3. Pass entitles winner to unlimited FREE golf admission through August 5th, 2013.
4. Video featured on our website & Facebook Fanpage.

Submissions and Deadlines
Submissions will be accepted through 5:00 PM Saturday, June 30th, 2012. Entries can be submitted one of the following three ways:

1. E-mail the link of your YouTube video to: jesse.mahorney@gmail.com
2. Share the link to your video via the Kaua'i Mini Golf Facebook Fanpage.
3. Drop off or mail in DVD format to: Jesse Mahorney, c/o Kaua'i Mini Golf, 5-2723 Kuhio Hwy, Kilauea, HI 96754.

Respect for Existing Copyright
You must be the original owner/author/creator of all content in your video. If you are considering using existing music, video clips, photos, etc., it is very likely that someone else owns a copyright to that material, in this case, you must supply written permission to use copyright protected material. Copyright infringement will invalidate a contest entry.
